Why am I Seeing an Error When Trying to Inspect Equipment?



An error may occur when a user is trying to carry out an inspection on equipment if they are not correctly assigned to the project or location. To ensure this, the user will need to be correctly assigned to the project and location that has been assigned to the equipment.


To check which project and location has been assigned to the piece of equipment:

  • On the left column, go to 'Plant'.
  • Click on the piece of equipment that is relevant to the inspection.
  • Here, you will be able to see which project and location has been assigned to the piece of equipment under 'Projects' and 'Locations'.
  • You can change the project or location by selecting from the dropdown options and click 'Save Changes'


To check if a user has been correctly allocated to a project or location to carry out an inspection:

  • On the left column, go to ‘Projects’ or 'Locations'.
  • Click on the project/location that has been assigned to the equipment.
  • Scroll down to ‘People’.
  • If the users name is not in this section, click ‘Allocate/Deallocate People’.
  • Two sections will show ‘Select to Add’ and ‘Select to Remove’ with a list of people.
  • Tick the box(es) you wish to add.
  • Click the arrow button.


The user will now be able to carry out inspections on the piece of equipment that has the relevant project and location assigned.
