The Notifications Module
The system provides functionality that allows notifications to be created and sent to system users.
Notifications serve various purposes, such as:
- Informing system users about updates and changes to the system
- Sending invitation emails to users who have been added to the system
- Notifying administrators about document uploads
It is important to ensure users are correctly assigned to the recipient group before creating a notification, so that it reaches the intended recipients.
Recipient Options
The system allows the following recipient groups to be selected:
- User Triggering the Event: The person responsible for triggering the event receives the notification
- Administrators: All system administrators
- Location Administrators: Administrators assigned to the relevant location
- Project Administrators: Administrators assigned to the relevant project
- Project Managers: Managers assigned to the relevant project
- Project Supervisors: Supervisors assigned to the relevant project
- Subcontractor Managers: Managers assigned to the relevant subcontractor
- Subcontractor Admin Users: Subcontractor administrators assigned accordingly
- Equipment Owners: Users assigned to specific plant or equipment
- Manual Input: Enter email addresses manually
- HR Administrators
- Auditors
Additional Recipient Settings
When selecting Location Administrators, Project Administrators, or Project Managers from the recipient dropdown, three additional options appear:
- Send to all recipients: Notification is sent to all relevant users in the system.
- Include selected recipients only: Choose specific recipients from a dropdown who will receive the notification.
- Exclude selected recipients: Choose specific recipients from a dropdown who will not receive the notification.
Setting Up Trigger-Based Notifications
When setting up notifications, triggers must be selected. The system provides a list of all available triggers with explanations for each. This can be accessed by clicking ‘Export Guide’ in the Notifications module.
