Fault Reports Module Overview
The Fault Reports Module is designed to document faults that occur with machinery, ensuring that detailed records are kept for both initial issues and investigations. This module helps track faults and provides the necessary documentation for analysis, investigation, and maintenance follow-up.
Reporting Faults
When a fault occurs, the initial reporting stage must be completed. After that, an administrator can fill out the fault report form, which captures detailed information about the fault. These forms are essential for further investigation and analysis of the fault.
Fault report forms can be digitised using the Form Builder functionality, making it easier to complete and store fault reports.
Fault Report Statuses & Approval Process
The fault report goes through a review process to ensure its accuracy and completeness. Managers or administrators are responsible for approving or rejecting the fault report.
Approval Workflow:
When a manager approves a fault report, a reactive maintenance task is automatically assigned to the appropriate user, ensuring timely action on the reported fault.
Fault Report Statuses:
Fault Report Types & Forms
The system allows for configuration of various fault report types and forms to ensure that the reports capture all relevant details.
Fault Report Types: These categorise the faults and help define the scope of the report. Specific forms (initial and investigation) can be linked to each fault type.
Fault Report Record Types: These additional record types can be added to fault reports to provide extra details, such as photos, videos and documents.
These records allow for visual and supplementary information to be attached to the fault report, helping with better fault analysis.
Fault Report Classifications
Classifications help categorise faults based on the cause or type of issue. This provides insight into why the fault occurred and can assist in preventative measures. Specific forms can also be linked to classifications, ensuring that all necessary information is included when the classification is selected.
The Fault Reports Module streamlines the process of documenting and investigating machinery faults, ensuring that all necessary details are captured and that the appropriate actions are taken. By linking fault types, record types, and classifications, the module offers flexibility in categorising and analysing faults. The approval process ensures that fault reports are accurate and complete before maintenance actions are triggered, allowing for efficient and effective resolution of machinery issues.
