How Do I Create a New Inspection Form?

When you have existing Inspection Forms on the system, you can use these forms to create new ones to assign to plant and equipment. When you have created the new inspection forms, you can assign the forms to plant and vehicle types. These forms will then be applied when you select from the 'Types' dropdown when adding vehicles and equipment to the system.

  • On the left column, go to settings and click 'Form Builder'.
  • Click 'Open Form'.
  • Select the form you want to create and the version from the dropdown options.
  • Click 'Save Form'.
  • Click 'Create New One'.
  • To create a plant inspection form, select 'Equipments' from the dropdown options.
  • To create a vehicle inspection form, select 'Vehicle Inspections' from the dropdown options.

Next, you will need to apply the inspection form to a plant type in order for the form to be applied when carrying out an inspection on equipment.

  • Go to 'Equipment Libraries' in settings.
  • Click 'New Equipment Type'
  • Enter the name and description.
  • Select the equipment form(s) from the dropdown options.
  • Enter the inspection time.
  • Click 'Save & Submit'.

To apply the inspection form to vehicle types:

  • Go to 'Vehicle Types' in settings.
  • Click 'New Vehicle Type'
  • Enter the name and description.
  • Select the document types.
  • Select the vehicle inspection form(s) from the dropdown options.
  • Click 'Save & Submit'.

You can also apply a form to existing Plant Types:

  • Go to Settings and click 'Equipment Libraries'.
  • Click on the Plant Type you want to assign the form to.
  • Select the form(s) from the 'Forms' dropdown options
  • Click 'Save Changes'.

You will now be able to select this form when you are carrying out an inspection.

This is required before you can create an inspection form:

  • Add digitised inspection forms
  • Create plant types
