Additional Fields
The system only captures basic information by default. However, additional fields can be configured for Subcontractors, Employees and Projects. They can be used to capture any non-standard information that may be required. The option to configure additional fields is available for general Administrators (Admin) and can be found in the system's 'Settings' menu.
How Do I Add a Subcontractor Field?
- On the left side menu, go to ‘Settings’ and click ‘Additional Fields’.
- Click ‘+ New Subcontractor Fields’.
- Enter the name, and description.
- Select the Input Type from the dropdown options.
- If you choose ‘Select’, ‘Radio’ or ‘Checkbox’, a text box will appear below where you can add options.
- To add more options to the field, click ‘Add Option’.
- You also have the choice to remove an option by clicking ‘Remove Last’.
- Tick the box if you would like the field to be private.
- Click ‘Save & Submit’.
How Do I Add an Employee Field?
- On the left side menu, go to ‘Settings’ and click ‘Additional Fields’.
- Click ‘+ New Employee Fields’.
- Enter the Name, and Description.
- Select Input Type from the dropdown options.
- Tick the box if you would like the field to be private (only viewable by the administrator) and compare on merge (used in the user merge tool to show possible duplicates).
- Click ‘Save & Submit’.
How Do I Add a Project Field?
- On the left side menu, go to ‘Settings’ and click ‘Additional Fields’.
- Scroll down to the Project Fields section and click ‘+ New Project field’.
- Enter the Name, and Description.
- Select Input Type from the dropdown options.
- Tick the box if you would like the field to be private – this means the project field will only be viewable by the administrator.
- Click ‘Save & Submit’.
- A field with a red asterisk beside it means it is required and you will not be able to complete your work without filling in these fields i.e. name and input type.
- A field without a red asterisk beside it means the field is not required, although it may be helpful to fill these out to complete your work i.e. description.
