How Do I Add Plant or Equipment?
The Plant section includes details about equipment. It is important to add equipment to the system as it can help to identify if equipment is safe or unsafe to use. This will help prevent accidents occurring and can help maintain safety in the workplace.
- On the left side menu, click ‘Plant'.
- Click ‘+ New Equipment’.
- Enter the Name, Description, Serial Number, Tag Number, Asset Number and Hired From.
- Select Equipment Owner from the dropdown options. If the equipment owner you are looking for is not there, scroll down to the end of the list and select ‘Other’ and enter the Equipment Owner Email below.
- Input the Expiry Date, and date of the Last Inspection.
- Choose the Equipment Type, Location, Project, and Subcontractors from the dropdown options - the Subcontractor must be assigned to one or more locations to be able to use the system, as subcontractors need this information to set up employees or accept jobs, for example.
- Click ‘Save & Submit’.
- A field with a red asterisk beside it means it is required and you will not be able to complete your work without filling in these fields. i.e. Name, tag number, and equipment type.
- A field without a red asterisk beside it means the field is not required, although it may be helpful to fill these out to complete your work i.e. description, serial number, asset number, hired from, owner, dates, location, project and subcontractor.
This is required before you can add a Plant:
- Set up Administrators
- Set up Subcontractors
- Set up Employees
- Create the Equipment Type
- Set up Locations
- Set up Projects
Other Options:
- Under the dropdown options, you might see an option to add more, by clicking the ‘Here’ button highlighted. This will take you to the section you wish to add more of, i.e. if you want to add more equipment types, locations, projects and subcontractors to the system - be cautious that when you click this button, the details you have entered will be deleted.
