How Do I Add a Periodic Notification?

Periodic Notifications are sent based on a predefined timeframe rather than specific system events (triggers). The recipient list can be filtered to ensure that only individuals who meet certain criteria receive the notification — for example, users enrolled in a specific course who have not yet started it.

Periodic Notifications are ideal for sending reminder emails and are triggered once the specified period of time has elapsed. These notifications are recurring and will continue to be sent as long as the recipients meet the filter criteria.


  1. On the left column, click Notifications.
  2. Click New Periodic Notification.
  3. Enter the Notification Name, Description, Email Subject, and Email Title.
  4. Enter the Email Body into the text box.
  5. Select the Periodic Notification Type.
  6. Enter the Frequency amount you would like the email to be sent – the number of days you enter is how often the recipient(s) will receive the notification.
  7. Select from the options when you would like the periodic notification to be sent.
  8. Enter the Starting Date.
  9. Tick the box if you would like the first notification to be sent now.
  10. Tick the box(es) if you would like to include a Risk Report and/or Efficiency Gains Report.
  11. Select the Recipients from the dropdown options – if you select Employees, Subcontractors or Users, the total number of recipients who will be notified will show under the dropdown.
  12. You can filter who you want the notification to be sent to by clicking the Filters button under the dropdown and select from the options.
  13. You have the options to add attachments by clicking on the white box and selecting from your files or drag and drop the file to the box.
  14. Click Save & Submit.


  1. A field with a red asterisk beside it means it is required and you will not be able to complete your work without filling in these fields. i.e. name, subject, title, time and recipients.


  1. A field without a red asterisk beside it means the field is not required, although it may be helpful to fill these out to complete your work i.e. description and email body.

  1. Set up Subcontractors
  2. Set up Employees
  3. Set up Users
