Learn The Basics

The Employee Interventions Module

Employee interventions address issues involving employee performance and behaviour. The system allows administrators to document employee interventions.

Documenting Employee Interventions (Stage 1)

When initially adding an employee intervention, the system requires basic information, such as the type, date, employee, location, and project. When this information is added, an administrator can fill out the forms that were applied to the intervention type.

Documenting Employee Interventions – Employee Intervention Form (Stage 2)

Employee intervention forms are used to add more detailed information about interventions. An intervention form can be selected when configuring an employee intervention type on the system. This form is then applied when the employee intervention type is added to an intervention. Employee intervention forms can be configured using the ‘Form Builder’ functionality.

Existing employee interventions can be accessed and filled by administrators.

Employees can access and sign their assigned intervention forms by logging into their portal.

It is possible to select whether an administrator signature and/or employee signature should be taken into account for form completion (“Required”) or not. This option can be found in the ‘Employee Intervention Types’ functionality.

The ‘Signatures’ tool can also be used when creating Employee Intervention Forms.

Employee Intervention Status

The Statuses of Employee Interventions are shown on the main page of the Employee Interventions module.

The statuses that show are:

  • Completed – the required forms have been filled.
  • Not completed – forms need to be filled by either an administrator or the assigned employee.
  • Missing admin signatures – an administrator needs to sign the form.
  • Missing employee signatures – an employee needs to sign the form.

Corrective Actions

Corrective actions are implemented to identify the root cause of issues and can help prevent incidents from occurring.

Type of Corrective Actions (Immediate/Long Term)

There are two types of corrective actions that can be implemented:

Immediate - steps taken to quickly resolve the issue

Long Term - steps taken to improve overall processes to prevent recurrence

Adding corrective actions includes:

  • Documenting the issue - include the problem description and any relevant details
  • Identifying the root cause - what caused the issue
  • Implementing action(s) that is required to solve the issue

When implementing action(s) to a corrective action, it can be helpful to implement SMART actions:

  • Specific - enter exactly what needs to be done to resolve the issue
  • Measurable - include what is needed to track progress of actions being taken
  • Achievable - set a realistic but effective goal
  • Relevant - make sure the actions align with the objectives
  • Time - Bound - set a time frame to ensure the actions are completed quickly

History

The system documents the history of employee interventions which can be accessed by administrators.
