The Red and Yellow Cards Module

Red and Yellow Cards are issued to subcontractor employees as part of a formal disciplinary process. This procedure supports the regulation of employee conduct and assists in decisions regarding removal or termination from site, particularly in cases where site rules have been breached.

It also serves to raise awareness among workers about the consequences of their actions and encourages greater compliance.

Issuing Red and Yellow Cards

Cards are issued based on the nature and severity of the action or behaviour, such as:

Safety Violations

  1. Yellow Card – Issued as a formal warning for minor safety infractions, with a focus on improvement without significant consequences.
  2. Red Card – Issued as a serious penalty for major safety breaches and may result in removal from site.

Behavioural and Performance Issues

  1. Yellow Card – Issued as a warning for poor performance, inappropriate behaviour, or non-compliance.
  2. Red Card – Issued for repeated offences or serious misconduct, which may lead to termination.

Documenting Red and Yellow Cards

Once this data is entered, the administrator completes the form assigned to the card. These forms can be customised using the ‘Form Builder’ functionlity.

Administrators can configure whether signatures are required from both the administrator and the employee. Employees can view and sign cards assigned to them via their online portal.

Red and Yellow Card Status and Score

Statuses for Red and Yellow Cards are displayed on the main page of the module:

  1. Completed – All required forms have been filled in
  2. Not Completed – Forms are outstanding
  3. Missing Admin Signatures – The administrator’s signature is pending
  4. Missing Employee Signatures – The employee’s signature is pending

Card scores are configured using the Form Builder functionality. Once forms are completed, the total score is visible from the main module page.

Corrective actions can be implemented to red and yellow cards to identify the root causes of issues.
