The RAMS Module

RAMS stands for Risk Assessment and Method Statement.

  1. A Risk Assessment identifies and evaluates hazards and risks, then implements control measures to reduce those hazards.
  2. A Method Statement describes how a task should be performed step-by-step to ensure it is carried out safely.

Documenting RAMS includes details of high-risk activities and involves assigning the relevant project and subcontractor to each RAMS record.

RAMS Requests and Management

The RAMS Module enables client companies to request RAMS directly from subcontractors by adding requests to the RAMS register. Subcontractors can upload the requested RAMS documents, which can then be reviewed, accepted, or rejected. Once uploaded, RAMS documents are available in the RAMS register for inspection.

RAMS Initial and Investigation Forms

When adding RAMS to the system, initial and investigation forms can be selected. These forms are completed by the assigned subcontractor and can be approved by an administrator. The forms are configurable via the Form Builder functionality.

Notifications

Notifications related to RAMS can be sent based on specific triggers, including:

  1. RAMS Creation: A new RAMS has been added to the system
  2. RAMS Deletion: A RAMS has been deleted from the system
  3. RAMS Status Change: The status of a RAMS has changed
  4. RAMS Record Uploaded: A subcontractor has uploaded a document

RAMS Statuses and Approval

Administrators can approve or reject RAMS documents. The following statuses are used to indicate the current state of a RAMS:

  1. Approved: The forms have been completed and approved
  2. Rejected: The forms have been rejected
  3. Awaiting Approval: Forms require administrator approval
  4. Missing Subcontractor Documents: The assigned subcontractor has yet to upload the required documents or complete the necessary forms
