How Do I Print a Report Using a Print Template?
When you have added an E-Permit, Health and Safety, Audit or Safety Observation to the system, you have the option to print a report using a print template if you want to obtain a physical copy. A report can only be printed using this functionality once the forms in the report have been filled.
To print a report from an existing print template:
- Click on the name of the existing record on the system.
- On the top right corner, click 'Print Template'.
- Select the template from the dropdown options. The last available version of the print template is automatically selected.
- Click the little 'down' arrow beside 'Print Template' in the blue button to change the print settings.
The settings options are:
- Choose if you want the report to be portrait or landscape.
- If you tick 'Show Template Version', the template description will show on the footer of the page(s). If you untick this, the description will not appear anywhere on the page.
- If you tick 'Show Attachments', this will show the attachments you have added to the report. If you do not tick this, no attachments will show.
- When you have made the selections, click 'Print Template'.
- Click the printer icon at the top right of the page.
- When you have select the printer destination, click 'Print'.
A warning message may show when you are about to print a report. This means a change has been made to the form in the Form Builder Module that was not reflected in the print template. If this shows, inform an Administrator and they will be able to update the template.
To update a template:
- On the left column, go to settings and click 'Template Builder'.
- Click 'Load Template', and select the template you want to update.
- A notice will show on the right side of the page, stating that the template has forms that have been updated, and you can update the template with new forms.
- Click 'Update'.
- The elements that have been added will appear in the 'Forms' section.
- Click on the form(s) you want to add to the template. These will appear at the bottom of the template, and you can drag and drop the forms to where you want them positioned in the template.
- When you have finished adding, click 'Update Template'.
- Enter the Name, Version, and Description.
- Click 'Save & Submit'.
This is required before you can print a report:
