How Do I Issue a Red & Yellow Card?
Red and Yellow Cards are part of a disciplinary procedure used to document unsafe actions and behaviours in the workplace.
A Red Card signifies a serious breach of health and safety procedures and may lead to removal from the workplace, depending on the severity of the incident. For example, a Red Card may be issued if an employee operates machinery without having received the necessary training.
A Yellow Card represents a formal warning for actions or behaviours that, while less severe, still have the potential to cause harm. This may result in a warning being issued and additional measures being put in place to prevent recurrence. For instance, a Yellow Card may be issued if an employee fails to wear the appropriate PPE for a task.
