How Do I Configure Energies?
Energy types are added to machinery in a Maintenance Management System (MMS) to identify the sources of energy a machine uses or is exposed to (such as electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or thermal).
This is important for:
- Safety: Helps ensure proper lockout/tagout procedures during maintenance to prevent accidents.
- Compliance: Supports adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Planning: Assists in scheduling maintenance with the right precautions and tools.
- Documentation: Keeps a clear record of machinery specifications and risks.
