How Do I Report a Safety Observation?
Reporting safety observations is important, as it captures both safe and unsafe actions and conditions in the workplace. These observations can help identify and prevent potential accidents, while also raising employees’ awareness of workplace risks
- On the left side menu, go to Safety Observations.
- Click New Safety Observation.
- Choose the Safety Observation Type and Classification from the dropdown options.
- Enter a Brief Description.
- Enter the Occurrence Date.
- Tick the box if the initial Safety Observation Report was raised previously.
- Select the priority.
- Select who the Safety Observation was issued by from the dropdown options.
- Choose the Subcontractor from the dropdown options - the Subcontractor must be assigned to one or more locations to be able to use the system, as subcontractors need this information to set up employees or accept jobs, for example. Tick N/A beside the dropdown options if this option does not apply.
- Select the Location and Project from the dropdown options. Tick N/A beside the dropdown options if this option does not apply.
- Pinpoint the location of the safety observation on the map by clicking on the location.
- If you want to add more forms to the safety observation, you will first need to digitise the forms in the Form Builder section.
- When you have created the forms, they will show when you are adding a safety observation when you click Next.
