Why Does the System Not Let Me Assign an Employee to a Permit?

You may be unable to assign employees to a permit because they must be assigned to the same location and department as the permit.

They also must be fully compliant in the Location or Project of the permit.


If this is not the case, employees will not show in the People dropdown in the Permits section.

To Assign and Unassign Employees to locations:

  1. On the left column, go to People.
  2. Click on the relevant employee.
  3. Scroll down to Locations.
  4. Click Allocate/Deallocate Locations.
  5. Two sections will show Select to Add and Select to Remove with a list of Locations.
  6. Tick the box(es) you wish to add/remove.
  7. You also have the option to select all locations, click on the blue tick at the top of the page.
  8. To deselect all locations, click on the red X at the top of the page.
  9. Click the arrow button.


To Assign and Unassign Employees to Projects and Departments:

  1. On the left column, go to People.
  2. Click on the relevant employee.
  3. Scroll down to Projects/Departments.
  4. Click Allocate/Deallocate Project/Department.
  5. Two sections will show Select to Add and Select to Remove with a list of Projects or Departments.
  6. Tick the box(es) you wish to add/remove.
  7. You also have the option to select all Projects/Departments, click on the blue tick at the top of the page.
  8. To deselect all locations, click on the red X at the top of the page.
  9. Click the arrow button.


  1. If an employee has been assigned a role, they must also be fully compliant with the requirements of the role they have been assigned.
