How Do I Print a Report Using a Print Template?

Once you have added an E-Permit, Health and Safety, Audit, or Safety Observation to the system, you have the option to print a report using a print template if you require a physical copy. A report can only be printed using this function once all forms within the report have been completed.

To Print a Report From an Existing Print Template:

  1. Click on the name of the existing record on the system.
  2. On the top right corner, click Print Template.
  3. Select the template from the dropdown options. The last available version of the print template is automatically selected.
  4. To change the settings, click the settings icon beside the Print Template button.
  5. Click Print Template.

Settings Options Include:

  1. Choose if you want the report to be portrait or landscape.
  2. Show Template Version - the template description appears on the footer of the page(s). If you untick this, the description will not appear anywhere on the page.
  3. Show Attachments - this shows the attachments you have added to the report. If you do not tick this, no attachments will show.

A warning message may appear when you attempt to print a report. This indicates that a change has been made to the form in the Form Builder module which is not reflected in the print template. If this occurs, please inform an Administrator, who will be able to update the template accordingly.

To Update a Template:

  1. On the left column, go to Settings and click Template Builder.
  2. Click Load Template, and select the template you want to update.
  3. A notice will show on the right side of the page, stating that the template has forms that have been updated, and you can update the template with new forms.
  4. Click Update.
  5. The elements that have been added will appear in the Forms section.
  6. Click on the form(s) you want to add to the template. These will appear at the bottom of the template, and you can drag and drop the forms to where you want them positioned in the template.
  7. When you have finished adding, click Update Template.
  8. Enter the Name, Version, and Description.
  9. Click Save & Submit.

This is required before you can print a report:

  1. Create a Print Template.
