The Dashboards System

Dashboards are used to present data linked to the system, displaying information in the form of graphs and charts. They show both real-time and historical data, which is useful for identifying trends over time. Administrators can create and customise dashboards to display preferred data.

Benefits of Using the System Dashboard

  1. Measure efficiency
  2. Identify recurring issues over time
  3. Track learner progress
  4. View compliance statuses across multiple items

Most dashboard graphs are interactive and clickable, allowing users to pre-filter the system for selected data.

Chart Guide

The Chart Guide provides an overview of the types of charts that can be created. It includes examples to give a visual understanding of what each chart type can display. Users can select module-specific examples by clicking ‘Specific Modules’ and choosing the relevant module(s) from the dropdown menu.

Chart Types

The system supports several chart types:

  1. Normal: A traditional X/Y axis graph that displays selected data. You can choose data from any system module for the Y-axis and group it by criteria on the X-axis.
  2. Map: Visually pinpoints the location of specific data within the system.
  3. Calendar: Displays data related to events, such as expiry or due dates for various entities.
  4. Tile: Shows counts of specific selected entities.

Dashboard charts can be filtered to display more specific data. Filters can be saved permanently or applied temporarily.

Charts can be rearranged by dragging and dropping them to the desired location on the dashboard, but this requires ‘unlocking’ the dashboard first.

The system also allows dashboards to be printed as physical copies.

Multiple Dashboards – Private and Public

Multiple dashboards can be created to provide deeper insights into the system, tailored to specific modules.

Users can access these by clicking the ‘More’ button.

Dashboards can be set as:

  1. Private: Visible only to the creator
  2. Public: Visible to all users
