Requesting an E-Permit
An E-Permit is an electronic document that authorises an individual within the system to perform a specific job or activity. Without the required E-Permit for a given task, the individual is not permitted to proceed, as this could pose health and safety risks. To support this, the system enables the creation of E-Permits, which include key details such as the type, location, and projects that are assigned to the E-Permit.
This article includes step-by-step instructions on how to request an E-Permit.
- On the left side menu, click E-Permits.
- Click +New E-Permit.
- Enter the Task and Description.
- Select the E-Permit Type from the dropdown options.
- Enter the Start and Finish Date.
- Choose the Location, Project and Subcontractor - the Subcontractor must be assigned to one or more locations to be able to use the system, as subcontractors need this information to set up employees or accept jobs, for example.
- Select the Employee Role(s) from the dropdown options.
- In the Project Manager - People section, select the people from the dropdown options.
- Select Additional People from the dropdown options.
- Select the Location on the map by clicking on the location.
