How Do I Document a Plant Inspection?

It is important to record inspections of plant and equipment, as these determine whether items are safe to use, unsafe, expired, out of use, or have been removed from service. Keeping accurate inspection records helps to prevent accidents involving equipment and supports the maintenance of health and safety for those operating it.

1. Go to Plant on the left column and click on the plant you'd like to carry out your inspection for.
2. Scroll down to the Inspections section and click ‘+New Inspection’.
3. Select the Inspection Form from the dropdown options.
4. Select whether the vehicle is Safe to Use, Not Safe to Use, Expired, Not in Use or Removed from Service.
5. Complete the Inspection Form, making sure you complete all fields that are marked 'Required'.
6. Click 'Save Changes'.
