Using Existing Forms for Vehicle Maintenance


Organisations that already have forms set up for inspections, maintenance, or other tasks may want to reuse them for vehicle maintenance instead of creating a brand-new form. This approach saves time and ensures consistency across records.


Why a New Form Is Needed

The system requires forms to be assigned to specific categories (such as Plant or Vehicles) in order to appear in the correct section. Even if the form content is identical, it must be saved as a new form and assigned to the relevant category to be selectable for vehicle maintenance.


Steps to Reuse a Form for Vehicles

  1. On the left column, go to Settings and go Form Builder.
  2. Open the existing form by clicking Open Form at the top of the page.
  3. Click Save Form.
  4. Click Create a New One.
  5. Assign the form to the Vehicles category by selecting the Type from the dropdown options.
  6. Click Save Changes.


Once completed, the form will appear in the system when creating or recording vehicle maintenance tasks, allowing the same format and questions as existing forms to be used.


Tip: Forms can be reused across multiple categories by repeating this process, which helps standardise records while keeping the system organised.
