How Do I Configure Learning Paths?

Learning paths can be assigned to trainees to provide a structured sequence to the courses allocated to them. Once a learning path is created, it is possible to assign existing trainees to it, along with additional courses.


When a learner who has been assigned to a learning path logs into their portal, they will see a list of courses displayed in the order defined during the learning path setup. This is the sequence in which the courses must be completed.


Initial Set Up:

  1. On the left side menu, go to Settings and click Learning Paths.
  2. Click New Learning Path.
  3. Enter the name and description.
  4. Select the course(s) from the dropdown options (you can select multiple).
  5. Click Save & Submit.

This is required before you can add Learning Paths:

  1. Set up Courses.


  1. A field with a red asterisk beside it means it is required and you will not be able to complete your work without filling in these fields.



Adding Courses:

  1. On the left side menu, go to Settings and click Learning Paths.
  2. Click on the learning path you want to assign courses to.
  3. In the Courses section, click Add/Remove Courses.
  4. Two sections will show Select to Add and Select to Remove with a list of courses, tick the box(es) you wish to add/remove.
  5. You also have the option to select all, click on the blue tick at the top of the page.
  6. To deselect all, click on the red X at the top of the page.
  7. Click the arrow button.
  8. Click Close.
  9. The courses you have selected are now added to the learning path.

Changing the Order of Courses:

  1. On the left side menu, go to Settings and click Learning Paths.
  2. Click on the relevant learning path.
  3. In the Courses section, drag and drop the courses to determine the order in which they will be completed.
  4. Click Save Changes.


Assigning Trainees:

  1. On the left side menu, go to Settings and click Learning Paths.
  2. Click on the learning path you want to assign trainees to.
  3. In the Trainees section, click Allocate/Deallocate Trainees.
  4. Two sections will show Select to Add and Select to Remove with a list of trainees, tick the box(es) you wish to add/remove.
  5. You also have the option to select all, click on the blue tick at the top of the page.
  6. To deselect all, click on the red X at the top of the page.
  7. Click the arrow button.
  8. Click Close.
  9. The trainees you have selected are now added to the learning path.
