Course Showing “Awaiting Authorisation” and Lesson Content Not Visible


If a course shows “Awaiting Authorisation” and the assigned users cannot view the lesson content or attached documents, it may be because the lesson has not yet been assigned to the course.


When creating training content, lessons and courses are created as separate items in the system. After creating both, the lesson must be assigned to the course before the content becomes available to learners. If this step is missed, the course may appear assigned to users, but they will not be able to access the lesson.


To assign a lesson to a course:

  1. On the left column, go to Courses.
  2. Click on the course you want to assign a lesson to.
  3. Scroll down to Lessons.
  4. Click Allocate/Deallocate Lessons.
  5. Two sections will show Select to Add and Select to Remove with a list of lessons.
  6. Tick the box(es) you wish to add.
  7. You also have the option to select all by clicking the blue tick at the top of the page.
  8. To deselect all, click on the red X at the top of the page.
  9. Click the arrow button.

The lessons you have selected are now assigned to the course.
