How Do I Configure Trainee Document Types?

Adding trainee document types to the system helps to categorise trainee documents.


  1. On the left side menu, go to Settings and click ‘Trainee Document Types’.
  2. Click ‘New Trainee Document Type’.
  3. Enter the name and description.
  4. Select the Entity and Document Type from the dropdown options.
  5. The following options can be selected:
  6. Required – the document is required for compliance
  7. Only .pdf are allowed – only .pdf file types are allowed
  8. Private – the document is only viewable by an administrator
  9. Expiry Required – an expiry date is required
  10. Enter the months and days default expiry date.
  11. Click ‘Save & Submit’.



  1. A field with a red asterisk beside it means it is required and you will not be able to complete your work without filling in these fields.


  1. A field without a red asterisk beside it means the field is not required, although it may be helpful to fill these out to complete your work.
