The Assessments Module


Assessments can be added to the LMS (Learning Management System), which can be added to existing courses.


Setting up Assessments

When setting up assessments, the general details of the assessment are included, such as the name, description, type, maximum attempts, and duration. 


The options can be selected to:

  • Make a pause available – allow the learner to pause the assessment
  • Needs to be unlocked – the assessment needs to be unlocked by an administrator
  • Required – the assessment is required for course completion



Setting up Questions

When setting up assessments, one of the types that can be selected are questions. 


The different types of questions include:

  • Multiple choice – there are multiple answers to select from
  • Match – match two or more of the answers
  • Drag and drop – drag and drop the text to the correct placement
  • Text – enter the answer into the text box
  • File upload – upload a file with the answer
  • Signature – enter a signature to answer


When the question is entered and a type is selected, the answers and explanations can be entered. 


The option to randomise the order of the answers can be selected for multiple choice, match, and drag and drop questions. 


The question difficulty can be entered by sliding the bar to the preferred difficulty.


Assessment forms can be digitised using the Form Builder functionality.


Assigning Assessments

Assessments can be assigned to courses. When assessments are assigned to a course, the order can be changed by dragging and dropping the assessments in the preferred order. This can be done in the Rules/Order section of courses.
