How Do I Configure a Stock Item Type?


The Inventory Module allows you to register and manage all items kept in stock for maintenance purposes. Adding a Stock Item Type to the system can help categorise the inventory.


  1. On the left column, go to Settings and click Stock Item Types.
  2. Click New Stock Item Type.
  3. Enter the Name and Description.
  4. Enter the Minimum Quantity.
  5. Click Save & Submit.


  1. A field with a red asterisk beside it means it is required and you will not be able to complete your work without filling in these fields i.e. name.


  1. A field without a red asterisk beside it means the field is not required, although it may be helpful to fill these out to complete your work i.e. description and minimum quantity.
