Organising training can be a real pain! Having to make sure your all your staff are in the same room, at the same time, often means shutting down your operations completely. It is so much hassle for many businesses that they often let it slide, taking the risk of facing a closure order and being blacklisted on the FSAI website. There were 96 premises closed by the HSE in 2014. Is not being compliant really worth the risk?

We offer an Elearning solution that allows your staff to learn at a time and place that suits you. Our courses are available online 24/7, 365 days a year. You can order courses directly from our website, and begin learning straight away, or at a later date if you wish. Our courses are bookmarked so you don’t have to take them in one sitting. If you need the leave the course it is not a problem, when you return you have the option of starting over, or commencing from where you left off. We do not offer a video based solution. Our courses are designed to be engaging and interactive which is shown to increase knowledge retention by up to 60%.

All our courses are fully certified and meet legal requirements and industry standards. Our lead instructional designed Matthias Kausch is a member of the International Association for Food Protection, as well as being a licensed EHOA trainer, and also a licensed trainer for the National Hygiene Partnership. He is also a published author on Food Safety. Matthias also studied psychology and learning theory, and how to help people learn better.

The Food Safety courses we currently offer are Food Safety level 1, HACCP Food Safety level 2 and Allergen Awareness. Our level 1 course should be taken before starting work in any food handling operation. Our Food Safety Level 2 course is our most comprehensive course containing 12 modules, and should be taken within 6 months of starting work in a food handling operation. This course would usually cost €150 and take two days to complete in a training centre. Our course is €90, with discounts available for multi-buys, and enables you to reach compliance in half the time, with half the hassle. Our Allergen Awareness course explains the dangers of the 14 key allergens, and what a business needs to do to comply with the new legislation regarding displaying allergen information, which came into effect a year ago.

All our courses contain modules which have a self assessment at the end of each. This assessment does not count towards the final exam but gives you an indication if you are ready to progress to the next module. At the end of every course there is a certification exam. The learner must gain a mark of at least 60% to pass. All the questions and answers are randomised, which makes cheating impossible!

In addition to this our courses are designed to help people learn better and in turn, be more productive. They are designed in line with the latest cognitive learning theory, where you give someone information, which they must then interact, and then verify what they have learned. It is scientifically proven if these 3 steps are used, it great enhances knowledge retention. We also deliver the information in bite sized chunks, and our courses allow the learner to progress at their own pace, rather than that of the fastest, or slowest learner in a classroom setting.
