We strongly believe that by empowering ourselves to do more, we can have an impact on driving real change within our community.
As part of this initiative, every month we will ask each member of our team to highlight three of their most proud achievements over the past month.
The winner will also be chosen collectively by our colleagues and that colleague then nominates a charity of their choice. The charity will then receive a small donation and/or a number of training courses. Some of the recipients are highlighted below.
Wexford MarineWatch is a Voluntary organisation established in December 2012 to prevent suicide, save lives and increase Water Safety & Awareness in the Wexford Harbour area. Marinewatch volunteers operate Safety Prevention Patrols on various nights of the week
ACCESS 2000 is a Community Development Project based in Wexford Town in the South East of Ireland which evolved to enable women to develop the skills necessary for them to feel worthwhile in the workforce and their communities.
‘Race To Be Mayor of Barntown 2017’ is a fun fundraiser running from January to March 2017 where six candidates battle it out to raise funds for the parish and win the title of ‘Mayor of Barntown’
Relay For Life is a 24 hour event that brings the whole community together to Celebrate the lives of cancer survivors, Remember those lost to the disease and Fight Back by increasing knowledge of cancer and raising money to fund vital research and services of the Irish Cancer Society.
Louth Volunteer Centre is an independent organisation, which is affiliated to Volunteer Ireland, and is part of a network of 21 Volunteer Centres and 7 Volunteer Information Services. They provide vital services such as; A Free Volunteer Placement Service, a database of opportunities for volunteers to view volunteer opportunities in their locality, Support and information on Policy Issues to volunteer involving organisations, Training on involving volunteers.
